Have A Nice Day! :)
Inquiring XP users want to know!

Can anyone tell me what dreams use the same format as the "Vintage" Dream? The reason I ask is because on XP that particluar dream works...uh...like a dream. In other words it works perfectly on XP...and I would love to download similar dreams that work as well as that one. There are a few others like Stars & WinterSnow by Neil Banfield...and Desktop Earth that work as well. Sharkpit used to work but doesn't anymore for whatever reason. With most dreams I click on all I get is this "Active Movie" window that pops up and I either see the dreams working or it just freezes and look like wallpaper.

Anyway...It would just be great to know which dreams use the format used in making Vintage so I could actually use deskscapes more often and have more choices that work for XP. There are some great dreams in the gallery I would love to use but unfortunately they just don't work on XP. And I can't seem to get a link to whatever MPEG2 plugins that actually work on XP either.

So any information on this would be great. And I'm sure other XP users would find it useful as well.

Vintage is a hybrid dream my friend, means its not a video dream, infact created from alpha png's in SkinStudio !!

Though I haven't seen many hybrid dreams up at the gallery yet but surely created a couple a few days back-

Hypnotic hybrid .Dream

Grid Sparks hybrid.Dream

Hope you like these and they run smoothly on your desktop

Also, I would like you to checkout CarGuy's Jack-O-Lantern

I believe the only other hybrid dreams are my "Jack O Lantern" and one Amit did, but I'm not sure of the title of his.

Neil did a dynamic dream named "Ovals" that's in the gallery also.

I'm going to be creating some more Hybrids soon, so keep an eye out for them.

That would be geat Carguy! I love many of the dreams you've done but they just don't work on XP for whatever reason. And it would be great if when you guys created these dreams you mentioned what type they were....that would save some of us the trouble of download...try...delete when they don't work.

What I'm hoping for are some nature scene dreams. Not into the fractal looking stuff myself. And the Jack O' Lantern is great for holiday use but not so much for everyday use.
