I had something similar a couple weeks ago. My problem was the sound card and the driver. I installed the card in a different slot and updated the driver and my issue went away.

Have you checked device manager to see if there are any errors? Are your drivers up to date, especially your video drivers?

Are you using a SSD?

Yes, yes, yes and no. Would be great if these things gave you a better report of these events. The only notice I got was the one I posted above.

This guy had the same error and he fixed it with a bios and driver update, not sure if that will work for you but you can check this out. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1627817/bsod-bccode-124.html

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Do you have a customer service number you can call for your brand PC ?

your info might mean something to them , maybe ?

a loud buzzing

Can you at all tell where that is coming from? Or do you mean buzzing through the speakers?

I just updated all my drivers...so we shall see if it happens again. It's usually been a few weeks between blue screens

May be a bad RAM or HDD issue.

I had something like that a while ago. Loud buzzing then a blue screen and text saying it encountered a problem and needs to shut down. Something about a thread being stuck in I think it said a device driver. I looked in the event viewer.

Updated all drivers and solved the problem.
