I just tried to upload a theme to the Winstep gallery and the screenshot didn't show up. So could someone please delete it until this is fixed. I'm going to just postpone uploading until these site issues are fixed. I have 8 things to upload and I'd rather not have everything get all buggered up. Thanks!

I just saw an "update available" for DesktopX Pro but when I click on the update I am told I need to register this product. So...the question is whether or not it is part of ObjectDesktop...if not I will just uninstall whatever was install. If it is part of ObjectDesktop how do I get this registered? I have no idea what or where the serial is to register this product....I just assumed it was already registered.   Also....is this a somewhat stable update...as in all widgets and such wi...

Can anyone tell me what dreams use the same format as the "Vintage" Dream? The reason I ask is because on XP that particluar dream works...uh...like a dream. In other words it works perfectly on XP...and I would love to download similar dreams that work as well as that one. There are a few others like Stars & WinterSnow by Neil Banfield...and Desktop Earth that work as well. Sharkpit used to work but doesn't anymore for whatever reason. With most dreams I click on all I get is this "Active M...

OK...the problem is that when I click on an item to create a zip file...it creates the zip file...but it also dumps all the content of the item into the folder as well instead of containing it to the zip file. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Yrag Ok..here's the problem. I'm trying to make a data DVD and also tried making a data CD, but I keep getting these errors which make no sense to me and I was hoping they made some sort of sense to you. E80041899: Write error - buffer underrun occurred - [06/C5/00] E80041934: TrackWriter error - Flush failed - [T7127] E80041925: TrackWriter error - Command retry failed - [T7118] It goes through the process of copying the data...then right at the end it craps out. Any light you ...

The short story on SiteAdvisor is that it gives you the dirt on more than a million Web sites. Its test bots constantly check sites to see whether they send unsolicited e-mail, bury users under a blanket of pop-ups, and--perhaps most importantly--contain software that could compromise your privacy. Whenever you visit a URL, SiteAdvisor's browser icon flashes one of three colors: green (safe), yellow (caution), or red (extreme caution). Then, with a couple clicks, you can head to SiteAdvisor's ...

By Ingrid Marson, ZDNet (UK) Published on ZDNet News: January 2, 2006, 9:01 AM PT Bloggers around the world have been talking about the latest Firefox extension, even though it isn't yet available. AllPeers, a company based in the UK, has developed a peer-to-peer tool for the open source browser, which it claims is "the best thing to happen to Firefox...since Firefox." "AllPeers is a free extension which combines the strength of Firefox and the efficiency of BitTorrent to transform ...

A virus masquerading as a new beta version of Microsoft's MSN Messenger has begun circulating, antivirus company F-Secure said on its blog Tuesday. The virus, which F-Secure calls Virkel.F, comes as a file called BETA8WEBINSTALL.EXE that can be downloaded from a Web site. Running the program installs not a new MSN Messenger beta, but rather a virus that sends download links to a computer user's MSN Messenger buddies. The virus falsely labels the link as "MSN Messenger 8 Working BETA." It also ...

I have no idea if it was the latest WB5 or Iconpackager. I just now updated them after SDC updated to its lastest version, and after rebooting my PC completely froze. I had to go into safe mode and restore them to the previous versions and everything is back to normal now. So it was one or the other or both. Sorry I can't give you any more info than that, because I couldn't do a thing with my pc other than restore the previous versions of WB5 & Iconpackager.
